Artist’s Open Studio (AOS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing local adult artists with developmental disabilities a space to express themselves through art, specifically in painting and hand-built ceramics.
ELIGIBILITY . Each entrant, by entering the Raffle, agrees to abide by all of the rules and conditions contained herein, as well as all applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations, and further agrees to release the Artist’s Open Studio, all its subsidiaries, and its directors, officers, agents and employees from any and all liability with respect to all aspects of the Raffle including, but not limited to, the selection process. The Raffle is open to any eligible person residing in a country or state where the Raffle is not prohibited. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.
TICKETS PURCHASE . The cost of entry for the Raffle is $20 (U.S. dollars) for a single entry and $100 for six entries (“Entry” or “Entries”) and these costs are not tax deductible. Any entrant may purchase more than one (1) Entry in person at Artist’s Open Studio 32 East Main Street Norwalk, Ohio 44857 or from any Artist’s Open Studio board member, staff member, or volunteer. Entry payment can be made with credit card (in person at Artist’s Open Studio), cash (in person at Artist’s Open Studio or from Artist’s Open Studio board members) or check (make checks out to “Artist’s Open Studio”). If an entrant’s payment is dishonored by the bank for any reason, such entrant’s Entry will be declared invalid unless full and satisfactory payment is made prior to the Raffle drawing. Completed Entry(s) must be in the possession of Artist’s Open Studio by Friday, July 13 to be entered for the Grand Prize drawing. All Entries will be handled on a first come, first served basis. Any Entry(s) and payments (including payments previously dishonored) received after closure of the Raffle will be returned to the Entrant. Upon receipt of a completed Entry (assigned a drawing number) and valid payment, an Entry will be entered. Information provided on the Entry will be used for the sole purpose of the Raffle and Artist’s Open Studio activities; information will not be shared with or sold to other organizations. The Grand Prize is $5,000 (U.S. dollars), Runner Up is $1,000 (U.S. dollars), and 3rd Place is $500 (U.S. dollars). Winners of the Grand Prize, Runner Up and 3rd place drawing will be selected by blind random drawings of all eligible Entries, submitted with completed Entry and valid payment, received by the entry deadline described above under “TICKET PURCHASE.” Winners need not be present to win. The drawing will be held at 5:00pm on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Artist’s Open Studio 32 East Main Street Norwalk, Ohio 44857. Entrants are invited to attend the drawing in person but the winner need not be present to win. All prize winners are responsible for all costs associated with their winnings, including all applicable local, state and federal special and income taxes. Winners will be required to provide Artist’s Open Studio with a valid social security number and must complete all IRS and similar forms requested by Artist’s Open Studio prior to delivery of their prize. Failure to do so within thirty (30) days of request shall result in automatic forfeiture of such winner’s prize.
W I N N I N G C H A N C E S . Each Entry represents one (1) chance to win. You may enter as many times as you like. The chances of winning depend upon the number of eligible Entries sold.
MODIFICATION OF CANCELLATION OF DRAWING. Artist’s Open Studio reserves the right to modify the Raffle. If 400 Entries are not sold by 5:00pm on July 13, 2024, Artist’s Open Studio has the option to extend the sales deadline to meet the minimum number of Entries sold or modify the prize amounts.
W I N N E R S . Winners will be notified by phone, email or mail based on the information provided on their Entry. Names of winners will be available to all media, on Artist’s Open Studio social media and on Artist’s Open Studio website. Winning Entrants agree to allow Artist’s Open Studio to use their name, likeness and any statements made by them regarding their prize for advertising or publicity around the current or future Raffle(s) without compensation. Winners may be required to complete and return proof of age, an affidavit of eligibility and liability release. Failure to do so if requested, or if the Winner otherwise fails to comply by these rules and/or fails to make arrangements to claim his/her prize within thirty (30) days of notification will void that entry.
AWARDING OF PRIZES. More than one (1) name may be listed on an Entry, but the first name listed shall be deemed to be the Entrant. Upon notification of winnings, the winner will provide a Social Security number, and it must be that of the Entrant (first name listed). Delivery or payment of any prize shall be made solely to the Entrant or Entrant’s estate. It is the sole responsibility of the Entrant in a multiple party entry to allocate any such prize among the participants in a multiple party entry.
A U T H O R I T Y A N D C O N T R O L . The decision of Artist’s Open Studio shall be final in all matters concerning the Raffle. The Raffle is subject to the laws of the State of Ohio. Void where prohibited by law.
